When Alfie are good, they're jolly good fun; but when they decide to slow things down it's not just the tempo that shudders to a halt. This song is about as interesting as textureless wallpaper with stripes in two different shades of beige. Where Did Our Loving Go? Well Lee, maybe you sang your girlfriend this song and she fell into eternal slumber.

It's a dreary ballad in waltz time with strings that is let down by having one of the dullest melodies ever, sung in a dulcet and lifeless tone that just makes you want to give Alfie a good shake and tell them to stop moping and move on.

There's so many other tracks on the Crying At Teatime album that would have made far better singles, and the sanity of the record company ponce who either chose to put this out or okayed the band's decision to put it out must be questioned because no one is even going to notice there's a song playing at all when this comes on the radio. A disappointing effort for a band who normally manage a much better job than this.
