Angel City is basically 21-year-old vocalist Lara McAllen singing over a familiar club track to produce a piece of radio friendly dance-orientated pop. Working with various producers, the photogenic Guilford girl has had past hits with Love Me Right and a recent cover of Cathy Dennis' Touch Me. Here she sings prettily over instantly recognisable backing beats, sampled from Robert Miles' Children, in a slick and pouty fashion.

Once you've read the title the lyrics hold few surprises, as McAllen repeatedly enquires of someone whether they know that without them she just goes crazy. Her voice is sweet but not especially striking and you can't escape the fact that the original club track worked well enough without her vocal contribution.

Despite this, Do You Know is rather danceable and the vapid refrain has a way of burrowing its way into your subconscious. Perky, inoffensive and instantly forgettable dance floor fodder.
