Angie Stone - I Wanna Thank Ya

Angie Stone has the kind of voice that makes you sit up - effortlessly soulful and emotive, transforming what seems to be a regulation single into something rather more special.

This is little thanks to Snoop Dogg, mind - his "shizzle dizzle" contribution isn't a help, and neither is the lazy, inconsequential rap he executes towards the end. Big Brother's Victor comes to mind!

In no way should this detract from the mighty Stone, though - still hugely underrated in commercial circles. As if to emphasise this the Hex Hector/Mac Quayle mix of Wish I Didn't Miss You is included, providing a very danceable house tune to get the night out started.
