Unless you’ve been eking out a Rip Van Winkle style existence over the past few years you can hardly fail to have noticed the meteoric rise of the good ship Arcade Fire as captained by the husband and wife team of Win Butler and Regine Chassagne. A string of festival dates this summer mean that the band are sure to be performing their unmissable live antics in a field near you.

Although no-one would class Arcade Fire> as a singles band, this is one of their most accessible track releases. Originally included in their self released first EP this has now evolved into a finely tuned single and one of the highlights on the post millennium blues of Neon Bible.

Fans can expect their trademark style with every member of the band giving it 200% and more instrumentational flair in 4 minutes than most bands struggle to come up with in an entire career. If you’ve not sampled them yet then maybe it’s time to wipe the sleep from your eyes and sample one of the most essential bands of our era.
