I always have to think twice before spelling banana, particularly if I don't have a spell check program. And the normal visual pattern recognition tricks (and spell checks) that help me get it right are totally screwed up by addition of the letters r-a-m-a at the end.

Thus have I been brought to the realisation that underneath their pop exterior, the Venus girls are actually performing acts of linguistic anarchy. With this thought comes the realisation that Move In My Direction is a subtle reference to the facts that 30 is the new 20, Kylie is the new Charlotte, and crap is the new good, just like it was the old good.

If you're confused, then that's good too - because perhaps I've put over a little of the sense I get when I listen to this single without the video: With the video I'm impressed the comeback girls are actually looking quite good and are flaunting the second stage sexuality of women in the thirties. Without the video, it's like; "What?"; "Excuse me?"; "And the reason is?". So...will this be a smash? Toss a coin.
