One of the few bands to be endorsed by Liam Gallagher (apart from his own), this early single from the moody leather-clad Americans BRMC gets a well deserved re-release.

Dirty, grimy and utterly cool, BRMC come across like The Strokes' dangerous older brothers. This song may not come close to matching the majestic Spread Your Love but still towers over most of the other single releases this week.

Yes, they sound like Psychocandy-era Jesus And Mary Chain, but since when has that been a bad thing? "I fell in love with a sweet sensation, I gave my heart to a simple chord" sings Peter Hayes, and on this evidence, there'll be millions echoing that sentiment soon.
