This year's contender for Greatest Living Welshwoman, Even God sees Charlotte Church take a break from the upbeat pop of Crazy Chick and instead indulge in a pretty little piano ballad. Well, it is Christmas after all.

The string section and wistful piano bring to mind none other than Culture Club's old single Victims - which makes perfect sense as one George O'Dowd is credited as a co-writer. Church's voice sounds pretty good (although you do still expect to break into an aria now and again) and the lyrics are thankfully a bit less cringeworthy than Crazy Chick.

In truth, Tissues And Issues was a rather patchy affair, but this is one of the better tracks and should confirm Charlotte's tricky transistion to bona fide pop star. Kate Bush purists may want to avoid the B-side cover of The Man With The Child In His Eyes however...
