Yes, another band prefixed with a 'The'. But The Departure, despite looking like the typically generic indie band, are a bit different. Hailing from Northampton, they were snapped up by Parlophone within four months of forming. Having recently supported The Killers, Be My Enemy is their second single and they're already getting a lot of people very excited.

One listen to this demonstrates why - a cracking barrage of drumming introduces the song before some dramatic guitar chords crash in, recalling the best moments of The Verve. It's easy to see why they supported The Killers - they mix '80s indie elements into a thoroughly modern sound just like their Las Vegas contemporaries.

Be My Enemy also has a gigantic sound that would put U2 to shame - with frontman David Jones already sounding like a rock veteran on the band's second single, The Departure should have no problem fulfilling the massive promise they're already showing.
