Following the clever trick of deleting their last single on the day of its release, and its subsequent top three chart success, Doves return with a rhythmic second offering from The Last Broadcast entitled Pounding.

Like so much by this band, it's accessible and anthemic. And just like so much by this band, most of the lyrics are just out of range of human hearing, partly due to production and partly due to the manner of their delivery.

There isn't much invention on offer, but if you want a big, ballsy rock tune of similar proportions to those offered by U2 in their early days, or The Manics, then this will please you. Here's to their success.
