Faithless - I Want More (Cheeky)
UK release date: 23 August 2004
Faithless - I Want More
Those who keenly anticipate more from Faithless will not be disappointed with this second single off their current album No Roots. As anthemic as God Is A DJ and Insomnia, I Want More uses an echoey sample from the legendary Nina Simone to launch into a pulsating dance track with tribal drums and MC Maxi Jazz's soulful poetic lyrics.

It also features Leeds-based LSK, whose guest vocals complement Maxi's in what is the second part of a philosophical tract. The first part is on the album and deals with the greediness of wanting more, whereas part two here deals with the pleasure and decadence of wanting more.

The single, which comes with six seven-minute plus remixes, may follow the Faithless formula but is another throbbing floor-filler that is a classic in the making.
