Why, when everything about a song screams 'terrible', do you sometimes still like it? It's hard to say, but listen to getAmped's first single from forthcoming album Postcards From Hell and you'll understand.

The title is only too clearly indicative of its demode heavy rock riffs, crusting vocals and unimaginative formula - not to mention Jurassic tribal drums that rear their ugly heads halfway through - but somehow the Dorset-born damners have twisted their alt rock sound into something that leans to the pop side of life for this single, and ended up with quite a catchy number.

Perhaps it's their love of surfing and the open water that has inflected the submission with an indulgent "I don't give a shite" spirit which they are happy to ride with. Perhaps this is a little deep for the blonde beach rogues - Either way it wouldn't sound out of place on cheese-fest Point Break.
