Gliss are a trio from Los Angeles who have recently caught the ear of luminaries such as Zane Lowe and Billy Corgan. They supported the latter on his recent tour, and it's not hard to see what the ex-Smashing Pumpkin saw in them.

Dealing in dirty, sleazy guitar riffs and drawling vocals, Blue Sky builds and builds, sounding impossibly dramatic as the song goes on. It's reminiscent of Muse, but with a more traditional rock edge thrown in. Fans of bands such as The Raveonettes and The Kills will find much to enjoy here.

The other track on the CD, Halfway Gone, lacks the epic sound of Blue Sky, but it sounds just as dark and glamourously sexy. The black eyelined teens may well have a brand new bunch of heroes to worship in Gliss.
