Seventies beats, full on funk bass lines and the odd tranced up moment make this single by Gurgus one to check out and dance up in the clubs. It flows along in a haze of house and I can well imagine the gyrating masses, a steam of sweat, blissful in strobed bass punches.

The remix by Sam La More, which is the first track on the CD, is definitely more commercial and club oriented, but the original, second feature version is deeper and more intertwined musically, making it much more intriguing. The one key change in the entire song is a nice one, and the groove is hell bent.

Dance music that really grips has a diversion however, a spirit of adventure, and this doesn't quite. However, when it produces a tune that offers a sound of summer, allowing revisits to happy times for happy clubbers, anthems are created, and this may well fit that bill.
