After the unremarkable impact of Damita Jo's release the marketing machine behind Miss Jackson seems to be running out of steam. Nipplegate may have proved that no publicity is bad but really, a double A-side - are things that bad?

All Nite (Don't Stop) is funky and quite grimy, introduced by Janet muttering "this is sick". The bass line is impressive but the vocals are so understated that the track could be one long hook. I Want You is quite the opposite: modern in style and feel yet maintaining Janet Jackson's classic R&B diva status.

Two songs and two completely different vibes for the price of one single is an utterly confusing situation and one that is hardly the recipe for success. Which song should the media place the emphasis on? Which one does Janet prefer? Quite frankly who cares? At the end of the day All Nite (Don't Stop) and I Want You are just two slightly above average tunes.
