Back when Club Foot was first released last year, nobody had heard of Kasabian. Since then of course, they've become huge and Club Foot in particular seems to have become Sky TV's incidental music of choice, with that anthemic guitar hook being used to soundtrack a whole variety of trailers.

The time seems right for a reissue then, and it sounds surprisingly as fresh as it did on its first release. It's that processed guitar that's the big draw of course, but Tom Meighan's uncannily Shaun Ryder-esque vocals and the general anthemic quality make this one of Kasabian's finest moments.

Reissues usually signify that a record company has started to bleed an album dry, but in this case it's a welcome reappearance for a great song.
