To be in a modern rock band and not have a guitarist or bassist may seem a bit odd, but it makes perfect sense to Keane. All of the band's songs are centred around their plaintive piano sound and Everybody's Changing is no exception.

This may not quite hit the soul-scraping highs of the achingly romantic Somewhere Only We Know but it's still one of the singles of the month. Tom Chaplin's voice displays such raw emotion it's impossible not to believe him when he laments that "everybody's changing but I don't know why".

The fact that Keane appear to be polite middle-class blokes writing quiet, intelligent music will be enough for some people to hate them. That's their loss though - Everybody's Changing is more evidence of Keane's immense talent. Roll on the album.
