The Kinks - You Really Got Me

buy music
After the 40 year celebratory anniversary of the birth of The Kinks, their most recognised hit You Really Got Me has been plucked out from the bottom of the CD rack, dusted and re-issued to commend their success / milk more money out of a good cause.

You Really Got Me is, and always has been, a great song. It's one you can never get tired of, no matter how many times it's played on the radio or re-released. Ray Davies, supreme songwriter for the band, summed up the feel of the '60s with his simple, obvious but cleverly structured songs.

The two bonus tracks on the CD do not override the joy of You Really Got Me but merely fill up CD space and act as another reason to buy the single, but of course, that is simply not required.
