Anyone who's heard Lambchop will know that they don't do hit singles. Up With People was a minor success, but the beauty of Kurt Wagner's collective is to be found in the sprawling masterpieces that are their albums.

Something's Going On (And On) is a re-recorded version of the best song from Aw C'Mon, this time featuring a rather evocative choir. It shuffles along beautifully, managing to sound both melancholy and uplifting with a genuinely catchy chorus - perfect Lambchop in other words.

Although Wagner's vocals won't be to all tastes (sounding ever more like Vic Reeves' pub singer here), the man's marvellous way with a song cannot be denied. It would be lovely, if unlikely, to see Lambchop in the singles charts, and Something's Going On would be the perfect song to achieve this with.
