Summer's here and the time is right for....staying in, staring in a depressed state at grey skies, daily doses of rain and wind and wishing you were abroad somewhere. Oh dear. We need some summery pop to cheer ourselves up.

The Little Ones created a bit of a stir last year with their EP Sing Song and Morning Tide is the title track from their upcoming debut album. It's like a little blast of sunshine straight from your speakers - jangly guitars, 'doo-de-doo' harmonies and a chorus that just makes you want to dance your living room.

Admittedly, it could sound a bit twee to those of a more cynical bent, and it's arguable that The Magic Numbers did this kind of thing a couple of years back, making Morning Tide already sound a bit dated. Yet if you're after something to cheer up this rather drab summer, step right this way.
