The Longcut - Vitamin C

Absolutely no prizes whatsoever for guessing where The Longcut come from after hearing latest single Vitamin C.

Skipping, shoe shuffling drums care of early New Order, swirling cerebral synthesizer backdrops as crafted by their previous incarnation Joy Division and a rising, echoed ghost wail of a vocal perfectly suited to soundtrack the last hours of the morning after the night before, keeping reality at bay for a little while longer before sleeping off the hedonism.

Normally a more boisterous proposition, Vitamin C is The Longcut's come down track, a moment of reflection before they launch into their usual punk tinged electro rock. A more sedate choice for a single, but still the perfect tune for easing your well-trodden limbs and forgetting about Monday morning too.
