Lucie Silvas - What You're Made Of
Since Norah Jones hit the mainstream with her particular brand middle-of-the road humdrum there's been a veritable stream of artists jamming the charts with their own inoffensive dirges. The latest is new Radio 2 favourite Lucie Silvas whose sickly-sweet powder-pop offering is What You're Made Of.

Silvas, who has been supporting fellow MOR artist Jamie Cullum, was set on the path to stardom by none other than Take That's Gary Barlow. She started off as one of his fellow backing singers, showed him a self-penned song and found herself snapped up by his manager.

If this is what's she's made of I'll be giving the impending album a miss. Then again, if it's good enough for Gary...
