Mario Winans was an unknown entity over here until this record found its way into the record bag of every DJ worth his salt. About 3 months ago. Since then there's been hype, and plenty of it. Enough so that his debut album Hurt No More charted in the top five.

For those who have spent the past weeks under a rock, I Don't Wanna Know rips the Enya beat that the Fugees famously turned into Ready Or Not and turns it into a pretty little R&B ditty. P Diddy graces the track with a cameo rap with the brilliant line "You wanted ice so I made you freeze". Very bling.

I Don't Wanna Know is already struggling to stand the time-test; clubs are reluctant to play it, but the radio is still lapping it up. I think there's enough here to warrant the inevitably high chart position I Don't Wanna Know will clock. After that who knows, but I hope a fall into the abyss won't happen for Mario Winans.
