One Minute Silence are a metal band, but if you're allergic to big hair and tattoos don't be put off. One glance at their website demonstrates that the band are extremely articulate about their beliefs and their politics, and this single is no exception.

Revolution is produced by former Stone Roses producer John Leckie, but don't expect jangly guitars here. Grinding riffs and angry vocals are the order of the day, with some timely lyrics about the "necessity for people to stop walking into a trap". As our current leaders seem intent on pushing us into war, it's not difficult to see the relevance.

Political metal has been sparse on the ground since Rage Against The Machine split up - One Minute Silence are perfect bearers of the torch.
