The first single to be lifted from the Floridians major label debut is a complete mix of their hardcore roots, with more melody and metalcore leanings thrown in too. It should please fans old and new although it won't, what with many of the former accusing them of "selling out".

Lyrically, Poison The Well have a more intense viewpoint on life than some of their peers ("unfasten inspiration from around your throat, no one around so you slash your skin"); however the dark and heavy subject matter is conveyed very eloquently.

From the peculiar rising intro of building drums and eerie guitar to the psychotic screams of the verse and into an enchanting chorus, Ghostchant is a rollercoaster of a song. It is the ability to construct such a strong chorus which sets this band apart, and elevates them into a more accessible class of hardcore groups. This will only serve to raise their status, so apologies to all the underground kids - it looks like the secret's out!
