Reel People have been making their brand of soulful house since 2003 and continue to add members into their musical family. This time around singers Tony Momrelle & Imaani bring their energies to Oli Lazarus ensemble offering, Amazing.

This is the first release from the forthcoming second album Seven Ways to Wonder and is typical of their sound but there are elements of style stolen from Shalamar and Maze giving it a distinctive 80's factor. The lyrics tell the story of a chance encounter between a guy and a gal on an ordinary day and the sudden celebration of love that ensues between them. Unsurprisingly they are a little corny, "just one look, you turned my life around".

The ballad warbling, smooth harmonies with a hint of the sultry and background of electronic sounds, bring together 1988 and 2008. Not an unusual combination these days but the licks of bass and simple construction will make it accessible and fun to remix.
