Sparks is a beguiling record, its release coinciding perfectly with the arrival of the summer. With ultra-cool chords and a gorgeous, filtered vocal from Anneli Drecker, this is a cut above your average chill-out material.

The No Stab radio edit is blissfully free of tension, as is the genuine radio edit, although you'd be hard pushed to differentiate between the two. As a polar opposite, Roni Size supplies a drum and bass interpretation, dressing the original in funkier clothing but keeping the song intact.

The only question is: when will we see some new material, chaps? I think we've had enough singles from Melody AM, good as it is.
