It's been fairly obvious for a while now that the days of Girls Aloud are numbered so, to the surprise of absolutely no-one, the replacements have been in training for a while. Yes, you've guessed it - there are five of them, and no one over the age of eleven will be able to remember which is which.
The track itself is the obligatory fluffy summery pop we can't seem to manage without at this time of year, replete with auto-tuned vocals that sound as though they've simply been parachuted in over a dance track to make it radio friendly. The chorus is pleasing enough, but what really lifts this is the pervasive Yazoo sample.
With two former members of S Club Juniors in the line-up, these girls should already have a fan base to get them up and running and, at a tad shy of three minutes, it's inoffensive enough not to rub anyone up the wrong way.
It's not going to win any awards, and it's far too soon to see if they'll ever reach Spice Girls proportions or end up as the next Vanilla, but anything that doesn't involve singing gummy bears is fine by us at the moment.
