You know World Cup fever has reached epidemic proportions when it starts spilling over into other domains. Cue Sham 69's rowdy release, Hurry Up England, a shameless attempt at a more ballsy World Cup anthem that is as laughable as it is annoying.

Featuring Graham Coxon on guitar duty, Hurry Up England sounds like a train crash involving The Skids and The Sex Pistols. With the standard questionable lyrics, general over-excitement, and annoyingly memorable hooks, Hurry Up England ticks all the right boxes for a World Cup song.

I guess when we win the World Cup this year the swathes of pubs and clubs around the country are going to need to play something to celebrate - it may as well be this. The only problem is, I can't help but think that if I was in Germany and they played this, I wouldn't be able to help but feel embarrassed at the music that was representing my country. Still...
