As the Texas bandwagon ebbs and flows from the biggest supposed rock band, headlining all the Virgin and T In The Park festivals they can muster, to sell-out, regular pop fodder, one thing is becoming increasingly noticeable: the band itself has become a vehicle for Sharleen Spiteri.

If it isn't endless individual TV appearances, it's the latest news that she is to become an actress. This is not necessarily a bad thing, it's just that it's getting in the way of their music. Listening to this, it's clear that something is, anyway...

This single has some nice piano work and the now compulsory sweeping violins to go with it. To be fair, Sharleen's voice is a bit more sultry than usual and stands up well. However, I just can't help feeling that it did not take very much effort to put together.
