A mysterious bunch are Yacht Club: They release an EP before ever playing live, keep their names and statistics hidden behind collective comments and stow an interesting EP away in a dull name.

And what's more, the mystery extends into the four darkly enigmatic tracks that take a couple of listens to reveal themselves for what they really are. So don't dismiss them straight away as confused nothingness as, like with the band themselves, you may need to prod a bit harder to get anything back.

Taxi Is Driving boasts sequences that would make good on your train of haze to an evening of psychedelia whereas Open Your Eyes is trip hop with vocals uncanny enough to love. Yacht One steams up behind you as the energetic guitar finale to drive you straight back to the play button. Give Yacht Club time to explore their music, set their sails in the right direction, and we could have something very interesting on our plates.
